Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy uses an X-ray system that allows the radiologist to view X-ray images on a computer monitor over time. Many types of fluoroscopy exams use different types of contrast agents to observe various organs as they function.

Your doctor might request a fluoroscopy procedure to get moving images of the heart, or a barium swallow might be involved if your esophagus is to be examined.
